Production processes are inspired by the way of working of the old tailors and couturiers : choice of quality fabrics and threads , handmade confection and attention to every detail of the finishes.
While today there is a heavy industrialized production of apparel and accessories , unfortunately these processes have neglected the quality of the clothing that was practiced in the past. Here are some details that the naked eye does not perceive, but that make a huge difference when it comes to choosing a quality accessory .
Each fabric is selected for its quality features. Working with 100 % English and Italian Super 130-150 wool and linen and cotton from England. Just organic fabrics , not synthetics. Working with silk and cotton , wool and cotton interlinings and recyclable cardboard packaging.
Cut & Tailoring
All fabrics ties are cut on the bias (diagonal). The production with this type of cut not allow to use 100% of the fabric, but ensures a better fall of the tie, which is flexible in the neck, ensures a better knot and rejoin more easily to its original shape when be stretched again. The same fabrics are used on other accessories such as caps and ascots , with the proper treatment for their own functions.
Each tie is finished with invisible seam on the back, in silk thread. Reinforcement (bar -tack ) with thick silk yarn is incorporated to connect each tip fold . This ensures that the tie does not lose its shape .
Handmade invisible seam also has a convenient feature that the machine could not match, it maintains the elasticity of fabric cut on the bias , allowing a more firm and lasting in time sewing.
